Insurance Experience

Jeremy Graber represents businesses on tax and corporate matters, including employee benefits (ERISA), non-qualified plans, tax controversies, tax exemption, and entity formation and reorganization. As part of his practice, Jeremy regularly advises his clients on the form and operation of their qualified and non-qualified plans to ensure they remain compliant with ERISA and the Tax Code.

Jeremy frequently represents insurance companies at the administrative level and in state and federal courts. Over several years, he helped resolve hundreds of annuity claims as part of a class settlement between his client and a state attorney general. His understanding of the complexities of insurance contracts as well as the insurance business allows him to successfully navigate situations involving insurance companies, insureds, and the various regulatory bodies.

In addition to his business and insurance work, Jeremy also advises clients with estate and tax planning. He crafts revocable living trusts, irrevocable trusts, wills, stock purchase or buy-sell agreements, strategic gifting programs, family business succession plans, life insurance structures, family limited partnerships (FLPs), limited liability companies (LLCs), and other wealth transfer and tax planning techniques.

He believes a well-crafted strategic plan is the best technique to avoid potential conflict as well as to resolve existing conflicts. Strategic planning and execution provides certainty and leads to efficient representation of his clients.
