Baird Holm Associate Christine Benson Becomes LEED Accredited
OMAHA, Neb. (Oct. 9, 2009) – Baird Holm Associate, Christine Benson, recently became a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Accredited Professional.
According to the United States Green Building Council, “LEED Professional Accreditation distinguishes building professionals with the knowledge and skills to successfully steward the LEED certification process. LEED Accredited Professionals (LEED APs) have demonstrated a thorough understanding of green building practices and principles and the LEED Rating System.”
Ms. Benson is an Associate in the firm’s Public Finance Section. Her practice focuses primarily on tax-exempt municipal securities as well as on various real estate and land use planning issues.
In addition to Ms. Benson, Ben Klocke, an Associate in the Financial Transactions Section, and Gretchen Twohig, a Partner in the firm’s Litigation Section and Real Estate Practice Group, are also LEED Accredited Professionals. Several other Baird Holm attorneys have been trained in the LEED standards and certifications process. In March 2009, Baird Holm hosted a LEED seminar presented by HDR, Inc.
