Brad Cahoon elected to Board of Directors of the American Lung Association

Salt Lake City, UT (October 19, 2009) — Snell & Wilmer L.L.P. is proud to announce that
Partner Brad Cahoon has been elected to the board of directors of the American Lung Association
Southwest Region covering Utah, Arizona, Colorado, New Mexico, and Nevada. He also serves
on the American Lung Association of Utah board and is past chairman of that organization.
Now in its second century, the American Lung Association is the leading organization working to
save lives, improve lung health and prevent lung disease. According to Cahoon, the American
Lung Association has many programs and strategies for fighting lung disease. “The organization
is a leader in teaching children to understand and manage asthma, and also is a leading advocate
for eliminating use of tobacco – especially in teenagers, and is the major public advocate for
clean air, as well as the chief source of information and public education on the health hazards of
air pollution,” Cahoon said.
The American Lung Association also has been instrumental in persuading Congress to increase
federal funding for lung-related biomedical research, as well as domestic health programs such as
tuberculosis control activities.
Cahoon is a partner in the firm’s Salt Lake City office, representing a variety of clients in all
aspects of environmental, zoning, land use, natural resources, and water law, including litigation,
administrative and regulatory law, and government relations. He has been recognized by The
Best Lawyers in America® since 2007. He received his juris doctor from the University of Utah
College of Law and his bachelors degree from Brigham Young University.
