Pannone Lopes Devereaux & West Senior Counsel, “Lenny” Lopes appointed to Economic Development C

Providence, Rhode Island (November 14, 2009) – Leonard L. Lopes, Senior Counsel at Pannone Lopes Devereaux & West LLC (PLDW) has accepted an appointment to the City of Pawtucket Economic Development Committee. He is a member of the PLDW Government and Legislative Strategies Team and is the law firm’s chief lobbyist and advisor to private and public sector clients. PLDW is a highly specialized law firm with offices in Rhode Island, Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York and Florida.

“I welcome the opportunity to work with others to create a forward looking plan for economic development and jobs creation for the City of Pawtucket,” said Lopes. “Economic development is a quality of life issue and I will give my all to afford every Pawtucket resident the chance to achieve their goals and dreams for their families.”

A former Chief of Staff and Director of Policy and Legislation for the Office of the Rhode Island Attorney General (2003-2006), Lopes also served as the Senate Parliamentarian and legal counsel for the Office of the Lieutenant Governor from (1999-2003). He is member of the Rhode Island Bar Association and Sports Lawyers Association and is a volunteer for several community and education organizations including the Providence School Board, Children Friend and Service, St. Mary’s Home for Children, Pawtucket Day Child Development Center, Books Are Wings, and Community Prep School.
