RIKER DANZIG ANNOUNCES 2009 FALL ASSOCIATE CLASS

October 22, 2009 – Morristown, NJ – Riker Danzig Scherer Hyland & Perretti LLP is pleased to announce the arrival of its 2009 Fall Associate class: Ryan L. Broedlin, Diane N. Hickey, Justin J. Klitsch, Katherine M. Planer, Samantha L. Spicer, Anthony Valenziano and Vanessa Ann Woods.

Ryan L. Broedlin practices in Riker Danzig’s Bankruptcy Group. He earned his law degree from Rutgers School of Law - Newark in 2009, where he was the Associate Editor for the Rutgers Law Record, as well as the President of the Irish Law Students Association and a Member of the Entertainment and Sports Law Society.  Mr. Broedlin earned his undergraduate degree, with honors, from Pennsylvania State University in 2006. 

Diane N. Hickey practices in Riker Danzig’s Government Affairs Group. She earned her law degree from Rutgers School of Law - Newark in 2009, where she served as Notes and Comments Editor of the Women’s Rights Law Reporter, was the Faculty and Student Organization Liaison to the Women’s Law Forum and was a Member of the International Law Society.  Ms. Hickey earned her undergraduate degree, with highest honors, from Rutgers College, Rutgers University in 2006.

Justin J. Klitsch practices in Riker Danzig’s Insurance Group. He earned his law degree from Boston University School of Law in 2009, where he was a Member of The American Journal of Law and Medicine.  He received his undergraduate degree from Princeton University in 2006.

Katherine M. Planer practices in Riker Danzig’s Labor and Employment Group.  She earned her law degree from Seton Hall University School of Law in 2009, where she was Articles Editor of the Seton Hall Law Review, as well as a Member of the Family Law Society and the Women’s Law Forum.  Ms. Planer earned her undergraduate degree, magna cum laude, from The College of New Jersey in 2006.

Samantha L. Spicer practices in Riker Danzig’s Products Liability Group.  She earned her law degree from Rutgers University School of Law - Newark in 2009, where she was Staff Editor for the Rutgers Business Law Journal.  She earned her undergraduate degree, with honors, from the Washington University in St. Louis in 2006.

Anthony Valenziano practices in Riker Danzig’s Commercial Litigation Group.  Anthony received his law degree, cum laude, from Rutgers University School of Law in 2008, where he was Managing Editor of the Rutgers Law Review.  Anthony was formerly a Judicial Clerk for the Honorable Freda L. Wolfson and is admitted in New Jersey and New York.

Vanessa Ann Woods practices in Riker Danzig’s Tax and Trusts & Estates Group. She earned her law degree from The George Washington University Law School in 2009.  Ms. Woods was a Member of the International Law Society, Street Law and a Student Member of the American Bar Association.  She earned her undergraduate degree from Princeton University in 2004.
